In 2019, the MIC of the RK plans to launch a media measurement system that provides objective data on the ratings of TV channels
The Minister of Information and Communications of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Dauren Abaev, spoke about the introduction in 2019 of an objective method of determining the rating of Kazakhstan TV channels, reports ortcom.kz with reference to MIA Kazinform.
In 2019, the ministry plans to launch a media measurement system that will provide objective data on the ratings of TV channels and specific information products. I think this will be a good help for financing promising projects and increasing the efficiency of state information order, the minister said at an expanded meeting of the board of the MIC RK.
The head of the department also spoke about the transition of regions to digital broadcasting. This year Almaty oblast, Pavlodar and Kostanay oblast will switch to digital broadcasting. The works will be completed completely until 2022, D. Abaev noted.
According to the minister, the state broadcasting of radio programs is actively expanding.
Last year, more than 300 thousand residents of 12 border regions of Almaty, Turkestan and East Kazakhstan region became available to the program of the Kazakh and Shalkar radio. I instruct Kazteleradio to follow this work in particular. The case concerns our national information security. Citizens who live far away, through radio receivers should not hear the hymns of China or Russia, but of Kazakhstan. The growing generation should also listen to fairy tales in the Kazakh language, the minister added.
