The Board of the Committee of Industrial Development and Industrial Safety of the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure of the Republic of Kazakhstan held a session. The main tasks of the Committee for 2019 were heard there.

Following the results of 2018, the volume of industrial production in all sectors controlled by the Committee is growing. In the mining sector iron ore production increased by 6.5 %, non-ferrous metals production by 4.3%, coal and lignite production by 2.5%.

“In the manufacturing industry, metallurgy grew by 2.2% (including non-ferrous metallurgy – by 5.4%), mechanical engineering – by 14.4% (the highest growth in mechanical engineering was in the automotive industry (40.4%) and electrotechnical engineering (33, 4%), chemical industry 8.1%, construction materials 0.2%, pharmaceuticals 0.9%, light industry 4.4%, rubber and plastic products 3.1%, paper 4.9%, furniture production 1, 3% growth “, – said Kanat Baitov, Deputy Chairman of the Committee during the meeting.

The Committee has conducted a systematic and detailed work on all aspects of its activities. In particular, the development of industrial sectors, industrial digitization (mining and metallurgical complex, coal industry, machine building, chemical and pharmaceutical industry, construction industry and woodworking industry, light industry), local content development, industrial safety, energy efficiency and energy efficiency export control and licensing, international cooperation (including OECD, EAEU and WTO ), monitoring of investment projects implementation, development of SEZ and industrial zones.

Results of work of subordinate enterprises and plans for 2019 within the framework of the Board meeting were heard. Among them are the Institute of Energy and Energy Conservation (“Kazakhenergoexpertiza”), National Center for Infectious Drugs JSC, RSE “National Center for Complex Processing of Mineral Raw Materials” and Karaganda Oblast Committee for Industrial Development and Industrial Safety of the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure of the Republic of Kazakhstan Territorial Department.

In 2019, for the further development of the industry and industry, the Committee will develop a comprehensive development plan and Roadmap, which will cover implementation of the project and systematic solutions.
