Suleimenov noted that for further growth in certain areas of competitiveness, the government is taking a number of effective measures.

In his Address to the people of Kazakhstan ‘Growing Welfare of Kazakh Citizens: Increase in Income and Quality of Life’ the Head of State paid attention to those industries where we have a certain lag in inter-country comparison, the minister said.

The President paid particular attention to the expansion of state support for education and health care in the framework of the second objective Improving the quality of life with a focus on improving the efficiency of spending in these areas.

In addition, in order to improve the innovation potential, the State Program of Industrial and Innovative Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan until 2025 will be prepared.

In order to improve the financial system, together with the National Bank, measures will be taken to make the financial sector and borrower enterprises truly healthier, implement an effective comprehensive anti-inflation policy, and ensure the real availability of long-term tenge loans, the minister said.

In order to develop transport infrastructure, the implementation of the Nurly Zhol State Program will be continued until 2025.

To fundamentally improve the work of law enforcement agencies and ensure the safety of citizens, the Road Map for the modernization of the internal affairs agencies will be adopted, providing for the introduction of a new modern format for working with the public.

A transition will be made to export-oriented industrialization, including measures to strengthen proactive trade policy, support Kazakhstani exporters and domestic producers, conduct an inventory of state support instruments and development institutions, allocate an additional 500 billion tenge to support manufacturing industry and non-oil exports, Suleimenov said.

Also, according to him, within the framework of the fourth task of the Address, optimization and automation of state services will be accelerated by law, and translation of state services into electronic format will be provided. Systemic measures will be taken to encourage land users to make rational and efficient use of land.

The Head of State in his Address ordered the extension of the Business Road Map Program to 2025, while allocating additional 30 billion tenge annually for its implementation.

For the Business Road Map 2020 program, there is already a general transfer of 39 billion tenge. An additional 30 billion tenge are allocated. The total amount of the program is up to 69 billion tenge. This money is under consideration for 2019-2021 in Majilis, they are now being worked out and from next year they will be available for business, said Suleimenov.

In general, the results of the annual World Economic Forum rating indicate that the work carried out by the government on the implementation of the tasks outlined in the Address and strategic documents of the Head of State continues to be reflected in increasing the competitiveness of the economy and increasing the welfare of our citizens.

We will focus on improving the welfare of citizens. As you know, the President, in the first words of the Address, said that henceforth the growth of the population’s well-being would be an indicator of the work of the state body, the akimat. Not just abstract figures on GDP, industrial production, etc., but how these figures are translated into the increase in both incomes and the well-being of each of us. Therefore, our work is being revised here and we will subordinate all our activities to precisely these tasks, the minister concluded.
