Implementation of digital projects ensures growth of GDP in EEU member-states
Minimum 11% from expecting overall growth of GDP of the Eurasian economic union (EEU) by 2025 will be ensured by the realization of the digital projects and initiatives. In case the member-states of the EEU do not ensure synchronization of their efforts on realization of digital agenda, its input in growth of GDP will be twice lower. It was said in the project Main directions of realization of digital agenda of the Eurasian economic union by 2025, which is placed on the legal portal of the Eurasian economic commission (EEU) for public discussion.
More significant sources of growth of GDP as a result of the realization of the common digital agenda can become such factors as elimination of regulatory barriers and development of economies of given states, each of them will give annual growth of GDP of the EEU by 0,3% and 0,2% respectively. Growth of employment in the sphere of information and communication technologies (ICT) will ensure additional growth of the common employment in the countries of the Union by 2,46% by 2025. By this year, the additional growth of the volume of export of the information and communication services can comprise up to 74%, in the Eurasian economic commission informed.
The projects of the main directions of the realization of the digital agenda were presented by representatives of the member-states together with the Commission in accordance with errands of the Heads of the states of the EEU. It includes goals, principles, tasks, directions and mechanisms of cooperation of the states of the Union in the digital sphere.
According to the main directions of the states of the Union, the national policy in the spheres of digitization, communication and information are individually been designing, forming and realizing, however stick to the coherent policy in this sphere.
Joint work within the digital agenda will ensure:
stimulation and support of the new digital initiatives and projects;
facilitation of procedures of free movement of commodities, services, capital and work force;
increase competitiveness of economic entities and citizens by the help of digital improvements in all spheres of life of public;
creation of conditions for stable development of economies of the states of the Union when switching to new technological and economic systems;
cooperation of economic entities on the basis of cross-cutting digital procedures, creation and development of digital assets;
to lead the states of the EEU to the global, macro-regional and regional procedures of digital transformations taking into account of creation of new opportunities and risks;
to hold a dialogue between all interested institutions and citizens of the states of the Union for promotion of the best practices in the field of the digital economy and others.
Joint initiatives and projects within the digital agenda will enable considerably expand capabilities of the states, citizens and economic entities both within the EEU and external markets. Interested sides can represent initiatives to the Commission, which will elaborate and co- ordinate them with the member-states jointly with experts.
The project of the main direction is also accompanied by the project of the list of the first initiatives within the realization of digital agenda of the EEU. The list was designed on the basis of the proposals of representatives of the bodies of state authority and business of the countries of the Union, as well as members of the working groups in the initial stage of elaboration of the digital agenda of the EEU. Among proposals are the initiatives on digital traceability, digital industry cooperation, development of electronic trade and others, the commission noted.
