Housing prices in Kazakhstan are stable
Prices for new and secondary housing are relatively stable, while the cost of renting comfortable housing is rising, the Ministry of National Economy of Kazakhstan reported.
“In comparison with January this year, the prices for the sale of new housing have decreased by 0.4%, since the beginning of the year – by 0.3%. In February 2017, the average price for the republic was fixed at 248,200 thousand tenge per square meter of the total area of apartments with rough/clean finishing”, the report reads.
The resale price of undeveloped housing in February compared with January 2017 and from the beginning of the year did not change and amounted to 115.4 thousand tenge per square meter. The price in the secondary market of comfortable housing in the amount of 188.5 thousand tenge per square meter has been preserved since January this year, from the beginning of the year it decreased by 0.1%.
At the same time, rents for well-maintained housing in February increased by 0.4% compared to January 2017 – to 1 292 tenge per square meter. From the beginning of 2017 the growth is even greater – 0.9%.
