Hospitals of Kyrgyzstan receive 80 units of video laryngoscopes
Within the framework of the project “Emergency response to COVID-19” with the financial support of the World Bank, 80 units of video laryngoscopes were purchased and handed over to healthcare organizations in Kyrgyzstan.
The press service of the Ministry of Health report that the devices are distributed among healthcare organizations in accordance with the Distribution Plan of the Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The new equipment will help medical workers provide qualified rehabilitation assistance after COVID-19. It will also improve the results of tracheal intubation. The devices make it possible to examine the patient’s nasopharynx and throat in detail, carry out a number of medical procedures, and cope with simple surgical procedures.
The goal of the project is to support Kyrgyzstan’s efforts in the field of preparedness and response to the COVID-19 pandemic in Kyrgyzstan by ensuring appropriate preventive measures, procurement of medicines, supplies and medical equipment, and reducing risks for medical workers.
