High degree of achieving target indicators of the IIDSP noted based on the results of 2016

The regular Government meeting chaired by Prime Minister Bakytzhan Sagintayev reviewed the issue of implementing the Industrial-Innovative Development State Program of the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2015-2019 following the results of 2016.

“In general, there is a high degree of achieving target indicators of the IIDSP. Thus, the achievement of 4 target indicators and 10 result indicators is 84.6%, � the Minister of National Economy Timur Suleimenov reported.

The volume of manufacturing industry export increased by 4.2 percentage points (plan – 86%, factual – 90.2%). There was a real increase in labor productivity in the manufacturing industry by 30.4 percentage points (plan � 101.3%, factual � 131.7%). The volume of investments into the fixed capital of manufacturing industry increased by 84.1 billion tenge or 1.1% (plan � 750 billion, factual 834.1 billion tenge).

At the end of 2016, the degree of implementing the IIDSP Action Plan was 97.6%. At the same time, of the 42 items of the Action Plan planned for 2016, 34 events were executed, and partly � 7, the Minister said.

According to regional Akimats, according to the results of 2016 – 130 projects of the Enterprise Support Map were introduced amounting to 343 billion tenge, creating more than 9.9 thousand permanent jobs. The volume of products manufactured by the projects introduced in 2016 amounted to 52.6 billion tenge or 0.7% of the total volume of manufacturing industry.

The contribution of the manufacturing industry in the 2016 GDP growth amounted to 3508 billion tenge or 0.1 percentage points.

The largest implemented projects, based on the volume of investments, in the regions are “Altai Polymetal” LLP (construction and operation of a mining and processing complex based on the Koktaszhal deposit in the amount of 63.1 billion tenge); “Aktau Sea Northern Terminal” LLP to expand the Aktau International Sea Commercial Port in the northern direction amounting to 37.5 billion tenge; “Karaganda Energocenter” LLP for the expansion of Karaganda CHPP-3 third stage for the amount of 31.9 billion tenge; “R.W.S. Wheelset LLP for the production of railway axles and manufacturing wheel sets in the Republic of Kazakhstan amounting to 11.9 billion tenge and others.

In general, we believe it possible to consider the results of implementing the Program in 2016 as positive, T. Suleimenov concluded.
