Heating season in Kazakhstan in routine mode

by December 27, 2016 Fun

Current autumn-winter period passes in routine mode, consumers are provided electrical and heat energy in full, Minister of Energy Kanat Bozumbayev informed at a regular meeting of the Government chaired by the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Bakytzhan Sagintayev.

According to the Ministry of Energy, the repair works are on schedule. Completed is the repair of 8 power blocks, 51 boilers and 35 turbines. Repair work is underway at different stages for 3 power blocks, 3 boilers and 7 turbines.

Situation at TPS 2 of Arselor Mittal Temirtau raises fears, as overhaul of #1 boiler has been lasting since October. 16 cases of boilers emergency shutdown have taken place since the beginning of the autumn-winter period.

The fuel depots contain more than 3 million tons of coal and 124 thousand tons of fuel oil, which conforms to regulatory norms. Still Petropavlovsk TPS 2 of SevKazEnergo, TPS 2 of Astana-Energy and Karaganda SDPP 1 of Bassel Group LLS do not observe the regulations. The situation is attributed to open wagons not timely provided to shipping companies for transportation of coal, K.Bozumbayev noted.

Basing on the akimats applications, the Ministry of Energy has approved the schedule to supply oil fuel to the social and production facilities for 2016-2017 autumn-winter period in the amount of 342.6 thousand tons. However, by November this year the schedule was filled by 59%, and in December only by 26% (28.9 thousand tons are actually paid with 83.2 thousand tons planned; 21.7 thousand tons are shipped). The lowest development indicators are registered in Akmola, Almaty, East Kazakhstan, Zhambyl, Kostanay, South Kazakhstan regions and Almaty, Astana cities.

Social fuel oil for heating purposes is being supplied smoothly, Minister of Energy noted.
