It can be considered that the healthcare system of Kyrgyzstan has coped with the COVID-19 pandemic, Tolo Isakov, a member of the presidium of the Association of Health Veterans of the Kyrgyz Republic told during a press conference at Kabar Agency.
He said that without having certain medical equipment and personal protective equipment, as in many developed countries, the domestic healthcare system coped and was able to stabilize the epidemiological situation.
“Thanks to all the medical staff who worked day and night,” he said.
Tolo Isakov served as the deputy minister of health during the first outbreak of COVID-19 in 2020.
