Heads of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan held talks in SK
Within the framework of a working visit of the President of Uzbekistan to Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev met with Shavkat Mirziyoyev. During the meeting, issues of implementation of the agreements reached between the two countries during the state visit of the Uzbek leader to Kazakhstan in March this year were discussed.
The President of Kazakhstan noted that since the previous meeting there has been an increase in business activity between the two countries.
“In the first quarter of this year, there is an increase in the level of business relations in various sectors of the economy. Transport and logistics, auto industry, as well as regional cooperation on a wide range of issues should be noted. The trade turnover for the first 3 months of 2017 increased by 37%,” Nursultan Nazarbayev said.
In turn, Sh. Mirziyoyev drew attention to the fact that the intensity of bilateral meetings directly affects the effectiveness of interstate relations.
“After my visit in March of this year, we adopted the Roadmap in all directions of joint activities. Meetings at the level of ministers and regional leaders have become more frequent,” the Uzbek Leader said.
The President of Uzbekistan thanked Nursultan Nazarbayev for the assistance rendered in the matter of oil transportation from the Russian Federation.
In conclusion, the heads of the two states expressed their confidence in the preservation and further development of the positive dynamics of the Kazakh-Uzbek cooperation.
