Head of State meets with Minister of Information and Communication
Minister of Information and Communication Dauren Abayev reported to the Head of State on the progress of the development of the Digital Kazakhstan State Program.
Nursultan Nazarbayev stressed the significance of the large-scale digitalization of the economy in the reality of growing global competition.
Today, this issue is becoming top priority. The whole world is moving in this direction. And we must not fall behind. This is a very difficult task. It requires well-coordinated work of all departments, Ministries, and regions, � the President of Kazakhstan said.
Dauren Abayev spoke about the four priority areas defined in the new program.
We have discussed the draft program with all concerned parties. Digital Kazakhstan covers four main areas of work: infrastructure development, improvement of the human capital, digitalization of economic sectors and improvement of the system for providing state services, � the Minister said.
In conclusion, the President of Kazakhstan gave a number of specific instructions.
Just for equipping and modernizing Kyrgyzstan’s veterinary and quarantine services, Kazakhstan is providing technical assistance in the amount of 22 million USD.
This allows the Kyrgyz Republic to faster adapt its economy to EAEU requirements.
