Head of IRCICA International Center visits National Library

Expert of Research Center for Islamic History, Art and Culture (IRCICA) for Central Asia under the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, PhD in History, professor Ashirbek Muminov visited the National Library of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The IRCICA expert also met with Director of the Library Jyldyz Bakashova, the press service of the Library said.

The meeting was also attended by scientists of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic and Bishkek Humanities University.

The meeting participants discussed issues of mutual cooperation, including a joint meeting on The current state of research and study of Islamic civilization in Kyrgyzstan with leading scientists of Kyrgyzstan.

This event was held at the suggestion and support of IRCICA with the participation of the Ministry of Culture, Information and Tourism of the Kyrgyz Republic, the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic, the National Library of the Kyrgyz Republic, etc.

Director Bakashova familiarized the guest with the activities and cultural centers of the National Library and offered to develop intercultural cooperation of the Library with IRCICA.

Ashirbek Muminov proposed to transfer a number of IRCICA publications to the National Library of Kyrgyzstan as part of the development of cooperation.

IRCICA, which is a structure of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, operates since 1980, bringing together 56 Islamic countries.
