HEAD OF ALGERIA’S CONSTITUTIONAL COUNCIL VISITING KAZAKHSTAN

The head of Algeria’s Constitutional Council, Mourad Medelci, who is on a visit to Kazakhstan to attend an international conference, was received Wednesday by President Noursoultan NazarbaA�ev in the capital, Astana.

Medelci, who participating in a conference on “The Constitution: Enshrining values of the rule of law, civil society and the modern State, in a speech on behalf of delegations taking part in the conference, extended congratulations to Kazakhstan on the occasion of the celebration of the National Constitution Day of the country on Aug 30.

He also conveyed the greetings and congratulations of President Abdelaziz Bouteflika to his counterpart, President NazarbaA�ev, and his wishes of progress and prosperity for the Kazakh people, according to a statement issued by the Constitutional Council here Wednesday.

During his call on the president, Medelci emphasized the good co-operation relations between the Algerian Constitutional Council and its Kazakh counterpart, stressing that the two bodies play a major role in the institutional building of the two countries.

The Kazakh President expressed the hope to further develop the bilateral relations between Algeria and Kazakhstan in all fields.
