Growth of major sectors of economy achieved this year in Kazakhstan
The Government meeting chaired by the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Bakytzhan Sagintayev is considering development of major sectors of economy over the 11 months of 2016.
According to the Minister of National Economy Kuandyk Bishimbayev, over the 11 months of 2016, 11 regions of the country have increased industrial production, while the same period last year was marked with such growth only in 8 regions. The highest growth rates are in East Kazakhstan (4.9%), Karaganda (4.8%) and Akmola regions (4.2%).
In addition, the overall growth of agricultural output amounts to 4.5% due to increased crop production (by 5.9%). The animal products output increased by 2.6%.
The volume of construction works increased by 7.5% due to housing construction and infrastructure projects within Nurly Zhol state program. 8 regions of the country have increased volume of construction. The highest construction raters are recorded in Atyrau, East Kazakhstan regions and Astana city.
