The first group of tourists in three days made their way through the mountains from Almaty to the village of Balbay baatyr of the Issyk-Kul region.
One of the participants of the tour, Kairat Itibaev, wrote on social networks that this difficult tour was made to strengthen the Kyrgyz-Kazakh friendship through sustainable tourism – eco-tourism between the two countries.
“3-day extreme trip was to test the trekking route Kolsai – Issyk-Kul (from KZ to KGZ) after being closed since 2009 (13 years),” he wrote.
