EXPO 2021 exhibition of green technologies and solutions and the forum entitled Green Economy-2021: From Challenges to Opportunities for Sustainable Business Development took place in Bishkek on Friday.

Two important events for the economy were held in the framework of the traditional week of “green” economy.

Green EXPO offers its visitors to learn more about what “green” technologies and solutions are currently supplied to the market of Kyrgyzstan.

During the Green Economy-2021, the private sector, government representatives and international organizations discussed how to turn challenges into opportunities for sustainable business growth, also debated barriers that hinder the promotion of green economy in the private sector.

Three main themes of the Forum are:

– Promoting a green economy in the private sector, where the main goal is to discuss barriers to promoting a green economy in the private sector and identify measures to overcome them.

– Discussion of the benefits and opportunities of a green economy for the private sector using the example of agriculture.

– Energy in Kyrgyzstan: new opportunities and risks for investors, where the opportunities and risks in the energy sector for sustainable private sector development will be discussed.

Organizers of this year’s forum and exhibition are the JIA Business Association, the Agribusiness Development Association and the Ministry of Economy and Commerce of Kyrgyzstan.

This Initiative is conducted in cooperation with development partners, in particular, with the program “Green Economy and Sustainable Development of the Private Sector” implemented by GIZ, the project Partnership Action for Green Economy (PAGE) implemented by the UN Development Program in the Kyrgyz Republic, the OSCE Programme Office in Bishkek.
