Government reviews results of implementing the Industrial-Innovative Development State Program for 2016

The regular meeting chaired by Prime Minister Bakytzhan Sagintayev reviewed matters of implementing the Industrial-Innovative Development State Program for 2015-2019 following the results of 2016.

As reported by the Minister for Investments and Development Zhenis Kassymbek, the Program and Action Plan for its implementation envisage 4 target indicators and 10 result indicators.

Out of the 10 result indicators, by the end of 2016 � 8 indicators were met. As a result, due to the modernization of enterprises in the traditional sectors, 10 projects were implemented to modernize and expand existing production facilities for a total of about 68.7 billion tenge in 7 regions of the country.

Within the framework of creating new points of industrial growth through implementing large branch-forming projects, 6 new large-scale productions were created in 4 sectors of the manufacturing industry (metallurgy, oil refining, machine building, construction industry) amounting to 154.9 billion tenge, and 7 investors from the list of companies included in the Global-2000/TNC were attracted for implementing large projects.

In the course of ensuring conditions for the emergence of highly effective industrial entrepreneurship, 46 enterprises from 13 regions of the country received state support aimed at increasing labor productivity, for a total of 379.9 million tenge.

In general, following the results of 2016, the degree of achieving result indicators was 84.6%, � Z. Kassymbek reported.

Real growth of manufacturing industry in 2016 compared to 2015 was observed in 12 regions, the leaders in terms of growth rates are Aktobe (115.8%), Kyzylorda (115%), and Mangystau (110.9%) regions. Labor productivity in manufacturing from 2015 to 2016 in real terms has grown in all regions.

“At the end of 2016, the level of implementing the Action Plan items by state bodies and organizations was 97.6%,” � the Minister said.
