Government Project Management System: Sagintayev holds meeting on target indicators of growth in agro-industrial complex, energy, trade and mass entrepreneurship
At the meeting, the main indicators of growth for the first half-year in such directions as the development of agro-industrial, and fuel and power complexes, mass entrepreneurship, modernization of trade were discussed. Also, the work plans for 2018, reserves and the potential of the contribution of the industries to the growth model of the economy of Kazakhstan were considered.
Deputy Prime Minister � Minister of Agriculture Umirzak Shukeyev informed that the gross output in the agricultural, forestry and fishing production in January-June 2018 amounted to 4%.The growth in production was achieved due to a 5% increase in the amount of slaughter of animals and poultry, 3% � in production of cow milk, hen eggs � 14,3%.
Minister of Energy Kanat Bozumbayev reported in videoconferencing mode that the growth in the gross added value in fuel and energy complex for the first quarter of 2018 reached 5,4% with a plan of 2,7%. This is a result of increased production of oil (45,2 million tons) and gas (28,1 bcm) for January-June of 2018. At the same time, the real growth of investments in the mining industry, with a plan of 3,1%, amounted to 43,1%.On the target indicators for production in physical terms, the plan for the half-year has been fulfilled almost on all of them.
According to Minister of National Economy Timur Suleimenov, the total number of active small and medium-sized businesses, following the results of the first half-year of 2018, is 1,196,974, which is 44,598 more comparing to the same period of 2017. Meanwhile, the results for the six months show that all the regions managed to achieve the SME gross added value indicator.
The growth of internal trade in the first half-year amounted to 105,9%. The volume of retail trade grew by 105.6% in January-June, while the volume of wholesale trade increased by 106.1%. The growth of retail trade, mainly due to increased demand from the population as a result of the growth of the population’s real incomes by 3.7% in the first quarter of 2018. The number of employed population in the trade sector for the first quarter of 2018 was 1387.6 thousand people.
Recall that in the Addresses to the people of Kazakhstan, the Head of State defined the main priorities of the country’s development aimed at ensuring the economic growth rates above the world average and sustainable promotion to join the 30 developed countries.
For the effective implementation of this task, the Government developed a project management mechanism. Using this system, it will be possible to resolve issues beyond the competence of one government agency and aim at achieving a significant economic effect.
