Government offers new tools to promote domestic agricultural products in overseas markets
The Government meeting considers the draft program on AIC development in 2017-2021, which provides new mechanisms for the export of domestic agricultural products.
Deputy Prime Minister Minister of Agriculture Askar Myrzakhmetov informed on the plan to establish the AIC Export Center to support domestic agricultural producers in promoting products in overseas markets.
The center will make forward purchase from farmers and create export channels for the products demanded in the foreign markets, promote domestic brands, including KZ ORGANIC FOOD, analyze external markets and draw up roadmaps for prospective marketing countries.
Moreover, the center will deal with seeking export niches, as well as trade financing and insurance of local farmers export contracts.
According to the instructions of the Head of State, the priority for the nearest future is the accelerated agricultural development, in connection with which the Government has elaborated the state program on AIC development in 2017-2021. In the next five years, the production and processing of agricultural products should be the main source of diversification and a driver of economic growth.
