Government continues work on further development of languages in Kazakhstan
Within the framework of implementing the Presidential Address Third Modernization of Kazakhstan: Global Competitiveness, Prime Minister Bakytzhan Sagintayev gave a number of instructions on further development of languages in Kazakhstan.
Bakytzhan Sagintayev noted that the development of languages is one of the priority tasks in the country; in this connection the State creates conditions for the development of all languages of ethnic groups and trilingualism. In the Presidential Address, special attention is paid to the gradual transition to trilingual education. Thus, the Government’s task is to ensure this gradual transition.
The Ministry of Culture and Sport, the Ministry of Education and Science, and Akims were tasked to concentrate their efforts on explanatory work and to intensify work on providing the population with free courses of the Kazakh language.
The Prime Minister stressed that special attention should be given to increasing the availability of training courses in other languages, including through special information resources in the internet and to publish educational aids only in accordance with the latest methods of teaching languages.
Also, B. Sagintayev noted that it is necessary to use the potential of mass media for teaching languages and to establish the creation of special programs and educational video production.
