Government considers new state program on AIC development in the next 5 years
The Cabinet of Ministers of Bakytzhan Sagintayev determined the main goals, objectives and actions for the further agricultural modernization.
According to the Deputy Prime Minister Minister of Agriculture Askar Myrzakhmetov, the main goal of the program will be to provide the production of competitive AIC products demanded in the markets. There is a number of tasks in implementing the goal creation of agricultural cooperation for over 500,000 personal subsidiary and small farms, improving the efficiency of livestock by 40% and crop production by 30%, increasing the share of companies processing and loading 1.3 times.
Moreover, the Ministry will be engaged in the promotion of the national brand of organic products and the formation of effective system of agricultural technologies transfer. The Ministry also plans to improve the state regulation and effectiveness and availability of state support with maximum coverage of agricultural producers.
According to the instructions of the Head of State, the priority for the nearest future is the accelerated agricultural development, in connection with which the Government has elaborated the state program on AIC development in 2017-2021. In the next five years, the production and processing of agricultural products should be the main source of diversification and a driver of economic growth.
