General Prosecutor’s Office holds training courses for presidential reserve

According to the General Prosecutor’s Office, these courses are attended by the employees of the prosecutor’s office and the Interior Ministry, occupying senior positions in the central office and regional departments of the relevant law enforcement agencies. The main purpose of the training is the improvement of skills and managerial competencies necessary for appointment to senior positions.

Rector of the Academy Ulan Baizhanov noted the importance and practical usefulness of these courses in preparation of future reservists for the responsible work.

“The Head of State set a task to create a law enforcement system that meets society’s expectations and the highest international standards. To do this, the country needs leaders of the new formation – educated, highly moral, credible people. In turn, the Academy implements a system of special training. Last year, the President’s reserve training courses trained 45 employees of prosecutor’s office, internal affairs, economic and anti-corruption investigations services, 9 of them appointed to senior positions”, the rector said.

A special training program has been developed to ensure a high level of training, which is actualized in view of the experience of the previous courses.

In general, the training is aimed at developing and improving of the skills of effective leadership team (HR-management) in the standard and crisis situations. Course’s topics include the strategic and relevant issues for the country to ensure the national security, countering terrorism and extremism, corruption.

The courses last for one month and amounted to 145 academic hours.
