by January 17, 2019 Health

We appeal to parents today to check the vaccination status of children, and if you find that children are not vaccinated against measles, it is imperative to be vaccinated, said the Chairman of the Public Health Committee of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan at a press conference in the CCS – The chief state sanitary doctor of the country, Gendarbek Bekshin.

According to the country’s chief sanitary doctor, a safe WHO-certified vaccine against three diseases: whooping cough, rubella and parotitis is used in Kazakhstan.

We would like parents to understand that it is necessary to limit visits to gathering places, especially in closed rooms where mass cultural events are held, especially applies again to parents who have not vaccinated their children, he said.

The doctor also turned to women who are planning to have a baby.

In order to prevent a child’s illness after birth, to provide him with intrauterine immunity is also necessary to be vaccinated.

When the first symptoms appear – fever, headache and rash, you should immediately consult a doctor in order to undergo an examination and follow all the recommendations of doctors.

J. Bekshin noted that there is no specific treatment for measles.

That is, the treatment is carried out asymptomatic. In order to prevent the disease in order to prevent – only vaccination. Therefore, where we find the patient – in his environment, work is being done on vaccination. Since November last year alone, about 2500 thousand people have been vaccinated among contact diseases. In this regard, I want to reiterate the need for vaccination, the speaker added.
