Friendship concert with participation of Kyrgyz and Japanese singers held in Japan
A friendship concert was held in Hamura, Tokyo Prefecture with the participation of Kyrgyz and Japanese artists and creative groups, organized by the Mayor’s Office of Hamura within the framework of the work carried out by the Embassy of Kyrgyzstan in Japan in the field of culture and sports.
The press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan reported that, the concert was held with the participation of Kyrgyz performers Gulum Kasymbaeva, Kalyman Umetbaeva, Japanese singer Mita Re, Japanese quartet Tokyo Hibiscus, as well as Japanese komuz players of okyo Institute of Arts.
Also, as part of the event, a national Kyrgyz yurt was erected, a photo exhibition of Kyrgyz landscapes, an exhibition of national clothes, a fair of national souvenirs, felt products and honey, a creative workshop for children and a documentary film about Kyrgyzstan were organized.
Following the concert, an official welcoming ceremony was held for the Kyrgyz judo team, who arrived in Japan to participate in the World Championship, which will be held from August 25 to August 31, 2019 in Tokyo.
