Forum on occasion of 75th anniversary of Kyrgyz MFA
President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov attended the Forum 75 Years to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic. The results and prospects for cooperation between the Kyrgyz Republic and the United Nations, his press service reported.
The President emphasized the history of Kyrgyz diplomacy dates back through the ages. He stressed the Kyrgyz Republic aims to pursue a multi-faceted, balanced and pragmatic foreign policy.
Jeenbekov reminded that work to preserve and develop the status of Kyrgyzstan as an environmentally friendly country and turn it into a national brand is underway.
In this regard, the Kyrgyz President noted diplomats and state bodies are tasked with strengthening a new direction – environmental diplomacy.
Sooronbay Jeenbekov also said about signing by him the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic On Ratification of the Paris Agreement within the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), signed on Dec.12, 2015 in Paris, and elaborated on the work of Kyrgyzstan in the field of environmental protection, prevention of environmental crises, and the country’s contribution to the prevention of global environmental threats.
The Forum on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs included awarding ceremony of number of employees of the diplomatic service.
