FOREIGN-MADE WEAPONS DISCOVERED DURING SWEEPING OPERATIONS IN SYRIA’S DEIR EZZOR
The competent authorities, discovered, during sweeping operations in the villages of al-Mayadeen, in Deir Ezzor south-eastern countryside, weapons, ammos, rockets and shells, some of them are western-made, as well as, medicine and medical equipment, left behind by the Daesh terrorists.
A media report said, the Syrian army’s engineering units, in cooperation with competent authorities, discovered a weapons warehouse of assault rifles, mortar and tank shells and shoulder-mounted rockets, in Sbeikhan town.
A workshop for manufacturing rocket shells was also discovered, on the outskirts of the town, which lies 70 km away from Deir Ezzor city that the terrorists had used to mount attacks on residential areas and military points, in the area.
The report indicated that, the competent authorities discovered a warehouse of foreign-made medicines and medical equipment, that the Daesh terrorists were using, at field hospitals in Dablan town, 60 km east of Deir Ezzor.
Competent authorities and de-mining experts continue to comb liberated areas, to ensure a safe return for the locals, which is witnessing a daily steady increase.
Over 500 thousand locals have returned to their homes, in liberated areas, since early this year
