Foreign diplomats presented with the potential of Kazakhstan’s defense and aerospace industry
Today, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan held a briefing on the export potential of Kazakhstan’s defense and aerospace industry, as well as prospects for cooperation with foreign partners in this field.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Defense and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the meeting with representatives of the diplomatic corps was attended by Minister of Foreign Affairs Kairat Abdrakhmanov, Minister of Defense and Aerospace Industry Beibut Atamkulov, as well as heads of Kazakhstani defense industry enterprises.
Today, Kazakhstan’s military-industrial complex has a significant export potential, which occupies a certain niche in the country’s economy: modern models of Kazakhstani military equipment represent a high level of competitiveness. Currently, the Republic has created a modern space infrastructure, satellite systems of communication and Earth remote sensing, which are able to provide communication and telecommunication services and high-quality products of earth’s surface space monitoring, � B. Atamkulov noted.
The diplomats were told about the course of implementing Kazakhstan’s space projects, the country’s military-industrial complex potential by Deputy Minister of Defense and Aerospace Industry Marat Nurguzhin, Deputy Chairman of the Board of JSC NC Kazakhstan Engineering Vadim Shakshakbayev, heads of MIC enterprises.
In particular, the meeting participants learned about the Kazakhstani produced armored wheeled vehicles, large-caliber machine guns and other military and dual-purpose products. The briefing saw the presentation on the work of domestic satellite systems – communications and broadcasting systems of KazSat, KazEOSat systems of Earth remote sensing, products and services of the space vehicles assembly and testing complex being built in Astana.
A Q&A was held following the briefing, during which Heads of the Ministry of Defense and Aerospace Industry and its subordinate enterprises gave answers to all questions of representatives of the diplomatic corps.
“Our Ministry is ready for an open dialogue and mutually beneficial cooperation,” � Minister B. Atamkulov said in conclusion.
Diplomats of foreign countries expressed their intention to take part in developing the export of Kazakhstani MIC products and services of Kazakhstani space enterprises, as well as in active cooperation in attracting investments into the defense and aerospace industry of Kazakhstan, the press service of the Ministry reports.
