First President of Kazakhstan – Elbasy Nursultan Nazarbayev celebrates his birthday today
He is a historical figure, an outstanding statesman and a global scale politician who devoted his whole life to serving the people of Kazakhstan and the cause of peace on Earth.
Thanks to the political wisdom and determination of Mr. Nazarbayev, in a relatively short 28-year-long history of independent Kazakhstan, the country has joined the top 50 competitive economies of the world and today is consistently moving towards an even more ambitious goal – joining the top 30 most developed countries.
According to authoritative world leaders, Mr. Nazarbayev is a politician and a global scale diplomat whose strategic vision has made and continues to make a significant contribution to strengthening regional and global security and stability.
Thanks to his commitment to peace and dialogue, and the search for mutually beneficial solutions, Kazakhstan’s multi-vector and balanced foreign policy has achieved great success and ensured favourable external conditions for Kazakhstan’s progressive development throughout the years of independence.
Mr. Nazarbayev is the initiator of many integration and dialogue processes on the Eurasian continent. Among the most significant are the Eurasian Economic Union, the CICA, the SCO, the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions, to name a few.
Elbasy is the global champion in the highly complex global process of non-proliferation and disarmament of weapons of mass destruction. His foreign policy initiatives inspire many of his foreign colleagues.
Today, at a new stage of state development, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev is developing and strengthening the country’s foreign policy, the foundations and main principles of which were laid by Elbasy.
