FIRST KAZAKH PRESIDENT PAID A VISIT TO TURKESTAN RGN

The First Kazakh President attended a concert held on the square of the spiritual and cultural center of the city of Turkestan and expended his greetings to the residents of the Turkestan region, Strategy2050.kz reports referring to the site of the First Kazakh President National Leader.

While addressing his welcoming remarks, Nursultan Nazarbayev pointed out the historic significance of his decision to make the city of Turkestan the region’s center.

Since gaining independence, a thought to move the capital to Turkestan had kept chasing me. But, the situation was not suitable for that. Now the city is a regional center, where revitalization efforts are under way. Turkestan is a cradle of the Turkic world, therefore we look forward to support from fraternal Turkic States, the First Kazakh President said.

The National Leader stressed the rapid pace of the great construction within the city.

As a first step, we plan to build 175 facilities, 102 of which are slated for brining into operation this year. All the regions of the country are involved, Nursultan Nazarbayev said.

He expressed gratitude to everyone engaged in the construction and reconstruction of the regional center’s facilities.

Once the construction is completed we believe the number of tourists will grow so will the number of jobs. A standard of life of our citizens will also benefit, the First Kazakh President said.

While touring the exhibition of craftsmen, the works of masters from 20 countries were presented to Nursultan Nazarbayev.

The National Leader was updated on the conduction of the cultural and educational facilities of the city of Turkestan.

He also got familiarized with the construction projects of the First President Park and an amusement park, as well as was presented with work plans on the construction of a linear park and the reconstruction of the city’s Arbat.

The First Kazakh President also heard the information on the project on the archeological park Kultobe Hill-fort.
