EXXONMOBIL IS INTERESTED IN EXPANDING INVESTMENT COOP WITH KAZAKHSTAN
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, Mukhtar Tleuberdi, received the Managing Director of ExxonMobil Kazakhstan Dinesh Sivasamboo on December 3, 2019, in Nur-Sultan, Strategy2050.kz reports with reference to the Kazakh foreign ministry.
The parties discussed the activities of ExxonMobil in Kazakhstan, including the company’s participation in Tengiz, Kashagan, etc. projects, as well as further plans to expand investment cooperation.
The Kazakh foreign ministry marked the high role of ExxonMobil in the development of the oil and gas sector of Kazakhstan and the support of the Foreign Investors’ Council under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
In turn, Dinesh Sivasamboo stressed that he appreciates the ongoing work to improve the investment climate of the country and to create favorable conditions for foreign investors.
The ExxonMobil company began its activities in Kazakhstan in 1993, becoming one of the first major Western oil investors in the country’s economy. The amount of investments is $22 billion. The company implements such areas as development, production, transportation of oil and gas.
