EEC offers unified approaches to regulation of drug market within EAEU
The conference was the first event of the Eurasian Economic Commission in a series of seminars and roundtables, which resulted in the introduction of developed documents in the sphere of medicinal products circulation in a single market, as well as unified approaches to their law enforcement practice. In the near future such events will be held in Kazakhstan and Belarus, in mid-2017 – in Armenia and Kyrgyzstan.
“All regulatory bodies of the member states of the Union must consistently apply the established joint legislation, withstand a uniform level of requirements for the procedure itself for examination, laboratory evaluation and testing of drugs. This approach was called “Good Regulatory Practice”, which is our main task in the near future”, A. Shakkaliyev said.
Within the framework of the conference, there was a discussion of approaches to regulating the prices of medicines. The timing of the launch of a pilot project on applying identification marks to medicines was announced. Such practice will allow tracking their movement in 2018, and during 2019 – full tracking and transparency of drug traffic.
