Education Minister Isakov meets with reps of Konrad Adenauer Foundation
Kyrgyzstan’s Minister of Education and Science Kanybek Isakov met with Head of German Konrad Adenauer Foundation branch in Central Asia Ronny Heine.
During the meeting the sides discussed further directions of cooperation in the field of education, the press service of the Ministry of Education of Kyrgyzstan reported.
Kyrgyzstan is an important partner for our foundation, the only partner in Central Asia where parliamentary democracy is developed. At the beginning of this year, we have signed a Memorandum of Cooperation between the Ministry and the Foundation, and now we need to work on it, Ronny Heine said.
He said the Foundation will allocate 20 annual scholarships to the most talented students and graduate students of Kyrgyzstan.
Holding a workshop for students on environmental challenges was also proposed at the meeting.
We are already working on a project to create a safe school environment and co-operation at the university level. I am confident that our cooperation will only develop, Education Minister Isakov said.
The Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung e.V. (KAS; Konrad Adenauer Foundation) is a German political party foundation associated with but independent of the centre-right Christian Democratic Union (CDU).
