EAEU states noted strengthened coop during Kazakhstan’s presidency
The meeting was also attended by the presidents of Russia, Armenia and Kyrgyzstan.
Speaking about the preparation of the EAEU Customs Code of the EAEC, N.Nazarbayev emphasized that the priority was given to the interests of all the participating countries’s citizens, as well as the f transparent and stable business rules.
“Thanks to our joint efforts, despite all external challenges we have managed to implement the main priorities outlined by Kazakhstan at the beginning of the year. One of the key documents of our integration – EAEU Customs Code has been prepared for signing”, – said Nursultan Nazarbayev.
Kazakhstan’s President also drew attention to the development program for the electricity market, the liberalization plan for the service sectors and the launch of the process to create a single EAEU financial market.
The Head of State stressed the strengthening of cooperation in the period of Kazakhstan’s chairmanship.
“We have serious progress in this direction. In October, an agreement on free trade zone with Vietnam entered into force. The negotiations on the establishment of similar zones started with Iran, India, Singapore and Egypt. More than 25 memoranda of cooperation and interaction have been signed with various countries. We are searching for common ground with the European Union and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization”, – said Nursultan Nazarbayev.
The President of Kazakhstan noted that the trade agreements with China and Israel are being discussed.
The President of Kazakhstan pointed out a number of factors affecting the work of the EAEU – the deterioration of global economic conditions and unresolved internal issues.
“The special attention should be paid to the Eurasian Economic Commission. Today it is important to look beyond the crisis, to develop the system and long-term solutions, to build the future strategy of the EAEU. In this connection it is necessary to create anti-crisis council”, – said the Head of state.
In conclusion, Nursultan Nazarbayev wished Kyrgyzstan successful work as Chairman of the EAEU.
