Direct flight Astana – Budapest to be launched in early June
A. Barani noted that a direct flight between Astana and Budapest is a kind of gift for the 25th anniversary of diplomatic relations between our countries.
“The distance between the capitals of Kazakhstan and Hungary, which is about 4 thousand km, will significantly be reduced. The flight will be approximately 5 hours. I think, it will contribute as the development of the tourist flow in both directions, and so to the development of business relations. Over the past year, a commodity turnover between our countries increased by 16%. In January 2017, commodity turnover increased by 40% compared to January of the last year”, – A. Barani noted.
In turn, Wizz Air, the launching route, is the largest air carrier in Central and Eastern Europe. Tamara Valois, Head of the Communications Department of the Hungarian airline Wizz Air Hungary Ltd, said that the new air service will be carried out twice a week on June 8, every Thursday and Sunday.
“The opening of the route Astana – Budapest is a landmark event for Wizz Air, as it is the debut of our airline in Kazakhstan. We offer a total of 62 routes from Budapest, which represent more than 4 million passenger seats in 2017”, – T. Valois told.
The airline currently flies to 139 airports in 41 countries, possessing a young fleet of 79 aircraft from the brand Airbus A320 and A321.
“The airline company strives to stimulate demand due to the very low cost of air tickets on more than 500 routes in Europe and beyond. Our flights from Astana to Budapest will stimulate tourism and business relations between 2 countries, and will also open an easy and inexpensive way to visit EXPO 2017 for foreign guests”, – she informed.
