Diplomats of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan “equalize hours” on the eve of major events
ASTANA, Kazakh-Uzbek political consultations have been held at the Foreign Ministerial Deputy Foreign Ministers’ level. The Kazakh delegation was headed by Deputy Foreign Minister Galymzhan Koishybayev and the Uzbek side was headed by First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Ilhom Nematov. The parties discussed a wide range of issues in the political, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres, as well as cooperation between Astana and Tashkent within international and regional structures.
Foreign Minister Beibut Atamkulov received First Deputy Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan Ilhom Nematov within the framework of the consultations.
“For us, Uzbekistan is a fraternal country and is a key political and economic partner in the region,” said the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan. The priority task for foreign ministries is to fully and effectively implement the agreements of the Heads of State Nursultan Nazarbayev and Shavkat Mirziyoev on comprehensive strengthening of cooperation.
