DIAB HOLDS TALKS WITH AMBASSADORS, FORMER MINISTER
NNA – Prime Minister Hassan Diab on Tuesday met with Ambassador of Czech Republic, Michaela Frankova, with talks reportedly touching on consolidating bilateral relations.
He later met with Uruguay Ambassador, Ricardo Nario, with whom he discussed the remaining steps before Lebanon joins the Treaty of Asuncion (the Southern Common Market), with Brazil, Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay (Mercosur).
Nario later added: “Lebanon can play an important role in agriculture, given the difference in seasons between the country and other member countries, which facilitates the exchange of agricultural products.”
PM Diab also met with Ambassador of Kazakhstan Yerhan Kalekenov, in presence of Consul Yusuf Kanaan. Discussions featured high on bilateral cooperation and on the role of the UNIFIL Kazakh contingent.
