Development TITR contributes to the successful integration of the countries of the region into the global market of transportation and logistics services
The head of JSC “NC “Kazakhstan Temir Zholy” Kanat Alpysbayev and the Chairman of “Azerbaijan Caspian shipping” RaufVeliyev discussed cooperation on further development of the TRANS-Caspian international transport corridor.
Alpysbayev noted the role of the coordinating Committee TITR development and emphasized the importance of “this route to strengthen transport and logistics infrastructure of the Caspian sea, realization of transit potential of Kazakhstan”.
The meeting emphasized the issues of technology and interaction between the participants of the route, the uniform pricing policy, as well as tariff rates.
The head ofJSC “NC “Kazakhstan Temir Zholy” Alpysbayev and the Chairman of “Azerbaijan Caspian shippingcompany” R.Veliyev has signed a strategic cooperation Agreement and the Agreement on main principles of creation of joint venture.
The agreements provide for joint activity on the effective use of TRANS-Caspian international transport route.
The parties agreed to assist in the transportation of goods through the ports of Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan, the development plan of measures to increase ferry traffic and traffic of cargo ships in various areas, using the infrastructure opportunities (shipbuilding and repair facilities, ports, etc.)
It is also planned to establish a joint venture � a single commercial operator on Maritime transport for the growth of freight traffic on TRANS-Caspian corridor through the ports of Kuryk (Aktau) � Alat (Baku) � Kuryk (Aktau) and other routes.
According to the parties, “mutually beneficial cooperation in the framework of the TRANS-Caspian route will provide additional impetus to the integration of the countries of the region into the global market of transportation and logistics services”.
