Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs instructs police of Aktobe to strengthen control over arms trafficking

Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan, Police Major General Yerlan Turgumbayev arrived in Aktobe region, and instructed the local police to strengthen control over the arms trafficking.

Y.Turgumbayev met with the public of the region, and held a briefing session with management and personnel of the Department of Internal Affairs, Emergency Situations and Correction System of Aktobe region on issues of law enforcement and public safety, where he heard reports of leadership of the DIA, Department of Correction system, Department of Emergency situation and the National Guards on the ongoing work in this direction.

Then, the Deputy Minister conveyed to the personnel of the police garrison of Aktobe region instructions of the President, aimed at ensuring national security, and stressed the need to improve police practices. In particular, he noted that the police is to increase a level of protection of public order, to strengthen control over arms trafficking and migration flows, as well as to take exhaustive measures on crime detection.

Y.Turgumbayev also got acquainted with the work of the local police service of the DIA, Directorate of Internal Affairs of Aktobe, city police departments, departments of internal affairs of Alga, Temir, Martuk, Mugalzharsky, Aktobe Khromtau districts and Aktobe Law Institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan.

In cooperation with the Head of DIA of Aktobe region Makhambet Abisatov, he held a reception of citizens. During the reception theyconsidered personnel issues, as well as issues on investigation of criminal cases.
