Deputy Minister of Defence inspects the infrastructure of military units of the “South” Regional Command
The working group headed by Deputy Minister of Defence Abylkayir Skakov visited a number of military garrisons of the South Regional Command.
Within the framework of the working visit, the Deputy Minister together with Commander-in-Chief of the Air Defense Forces Lieutenant-General Nurlan Ormanbetov and Commander of the Air Assault Troops Major-General Almaz Djumakeev inspected the state of the infrastructure of military units of the Taldykorgan and Saryozek garrisons.
It should be noted that at present, on the instructions of the Minister of Defence, active work is underway to develop a roadmap for developing and optimizing infrastructure of the Saryozek garrison, since most of the facilities of this garrison were built in the 1970s and the 90s.
As part of this assignment, it is planned to repair defense facilities, housing facilities, engineering networks, utility facilities and landscaping of the military campus, and provide necessary furniture. By major overhaul, the water supply network has been restored to its full extent, and sewerage networks have been partially repaired in the residential and barracks areas of the military campus. In addition, military aircraft hangars are planned to be built in military units of the Taldykorgan garrison, as well as major repairs are planned for the housing facilities to accommodate servicemen, members of their families, those relocated from other garrisons.
During the trip, the working group inspected issues of complete overhaul of facilities of the Zhetygen, Almaty and Guards garrisons and preparations for holding the Army international games ArMI-2017.
