Deputy Minister: Low wages are the cause of personnel shortage in kindergartens

by April 6, 2017 Legal

The shortage of personnel in pre-school organizations is associated with low salaries. This was announced today by Deputy Minister of Education and Science Elmira Sukhanberdiyeva during a round table in the Majilis.

According to her, to date, more than 84,000 teachers work in pre-school organizations of Kazakhstan.

The volume of state orders for this specialty increases every year. Personnel shortage in pre-school organizations is caused not by the unattractiveness of the preschool teacher’s profession, but by low wages, Elmira Sukhanberdiyeva stressed.

According to her, to date, the wage of a kindergartener is 35.7-55.6 thousand tenge and the wage of an assistant kindergartener is 25-30 thousand tenge.

The salary is incommensurable with the responsibility for the lives and health of children, the Deputy Minister noted.

According to her, to correct this situation it is necessary to reconsider the loads on teachers in preschool institutions.

We have a request that you support us, the way we had support in reviewing the loads on school teachers, Elmira Sukhanberdiyeva asked the deputies.
