“Densaulyk” Healthcare Development State Program aims at implementing the Presidential Address
The implemented Densaulyk Healthcare Development State Program for 2016-2019 corresponds to the tasks given by the Head of State in his Presidential Address. This was reported by the Minister of Healthcare Yelzhan Birtanov during the Government meeting chaired by Prime Minister Bakytzhan Sagintayev.
As Y. Birtanov noted, the Presidential Address is aimed at the accelerated third wave of economic modernization, within the framework of which five initiatives in public healthcare have been identified.
The first initiative is the integration of the healthcare system around the patient’s needs through its deregulation and redesign.
The second initiative is bringing Kazakhstani standards in line with OECD recommendations.
The third initiative is the rational use of resources based on forming an effective infrastructure and investments in human capital.
The fourth initiative is a flexible funding system, which will be implemented in the CSMI system.
And the fifth initiative is system management in order to ensure transparency and accountability to the patient.
The results of implementing the Program in 2016 show that work carried out to improve the healthcare sphere harmoniously adheres to not only the sectoral program, but also new priorities identified in the President’s Address.
