Dariga Nazarbayeva and Armen Sargsyan agreed on new promising areas of cooperation between Kazakhstan and Armenia
Within the framework of the official visit to Armenia, the Chairperson of the Senate of the Republic of Kazakhstan Dariga Nazarbayeva met with the President of the Republic of Armenia Armen Sargsyan.
During the conversation, the interlocutors touched upon issues of cooperation in such areas as the development of tourism, information technology, transport and logistics potential, etc.
The Senate speaker invited Armenian businessmen to the work of the Astana International Financial Center and Astana Hub, an international technology park of IT startups, with particular emphasis on the opportunities that entrepreneurs and investors in the EAEU will have to enter the markets of China and Southeast Asia.
In turn, President Armen Sargsyan supported the Senate Speaker’s proposal to expand the interaction of entrepreneurs of the two countries, adding that today Kazakhstan and Armenia are not fully using the existing cooperation potential. According to the President, there is an opportunity to give impetus to at least several areas of partnership. These are food safety (processing and transportation of food), financial management and joint cultural events.
The parties agreed to create joint working groups on promising areas of cooperation between Kazakhstan and Armenia.
