Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Zhaparov took part in a meeting of the joint board of the Osh Oblast state administration and Osh Mayor’s Office.

During the meeting information was presented on the results of socio-economic development of the region and Osh city in the past year and the upcoming plans for 2022.

Akylbek Zhaparov noted the socio-economic indicators for 2021 and spoke about the priorities of the Cabinet in the current year.

“Last year the budget was executed in full volume with a surplus of KGS 5.6 billion. In January 2022, budget revenues amounted to KGS 11.8 billion, or KGS 2.5 billion more compared to the same period last year. In 2022, the index of resource part of the consolidated budget should reach KGS 400 billion,” he said.

The chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers stressed that local authorities face a number of important tasks, such as strengthening of work on the digitalization of public services, development of a digital map of the region with complete information about the oblast, conducting an inventory of property, protection and support for the development of manufacturing enterprises, creating new jobs.

“It is necessary to introduce a KPI system when evaluating the performance of managers in attracting investment to the region. It will be a great achievement if enterprises are opened in every village. Heads of regions and mayors of cities, your main task is to attract investment. In addition, there is need to ensure the timely conduct of spring field work, to strengthen work on the development of tourism, and to complete the work on the transformation of citizens’ land,” he said.

Akylbek Zhaparov continued that more than 100 construction and repair works are planned in Osh Oblast in 2022.
