Concert in honor of the 25th anniversary of relations between Korea and Kazakhstan was held in Astana
“This year we celebrate a special event – the 25th anniversary from the date of an establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Korea. From the moment of the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1992, cooperation between Kazakhstan and Korea has developed significantly in political, economic and many other spheres. As there are 25 years of diplomatic relations between our countries, the Government of Korea will make every effort to promote bilateral cooperation to higher level”, – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Korea to Kazakhstan Cho Yong-Chong.
The Ambassador also noted the successes and achievements for the years of Kazakhstan’s independence under the leadership of President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev and said that the Government and citizens of Korea will actively participate in EXPO-2017 in Astana and play a role in its successful completion.
“Since gaining independence, Kazakhstan under the leadership of President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev has achieved surprising success in various fields, including politics, economy, sport and culture, both nationally and internationally. I think that the whole world appreciates the achievements of Kazakhstan in such a short period of time, and Korea, being a friendly partner of Kazakhstan, rejoices for your progress too”, � the Ambassador noted.
Within the celebration of this landmark date, representatives of the National Center for Korean Traditional Performing Arts “Guqak” arrived to Astana to present traditional Korean music and dances to Kazakhstanis.
Music and dances were presented in the modern style of “K-music” and “K-dance”.
The concert was attended by musical and dance groups of the National Center for Korean Traditional Performing Arts “National Gugak Center”, a group of Korean traditional performing arts “Traditional Performance Group Kkokdusoe”, a break dance band “MB Crew” and the State Dance Theater “Naz” of the Mayor’s Office of Astana.
