China to allocate USD 100,000 as humanitarian aid to residents of Batken region

China will allocate USD 100,000 in humanitarian aid to residents of the Batken region of Kyrgyzstan.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, on November 2, 2022, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Azizbek Madmarov met with Chinese Ambassador to the Kyrgyz Republic Du Dewen.

During the meeting, the Chinese side announced the decision to allocate humanitarian assistance in the amount of USD 100 thousand for residents of the Batken region affected in the conflict on the Kyrgyz-Tajik border.

The sides also discussed the implementation of the agreements reached following the visit of a member of the State Council of China, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the PRC Wang Yi to the Kyrgyz Republic.
