Canada’s Ambassador noted dynamic development of Kazakhstan over 25 years (VIDEO)
“Canada, we always think of ourself as a young country, but, next year, Canada celebrates 150 years, so Kazakhstan – is a really young country, it is only 25 years old. This country has so much dynamism, purpose, energy and motivation. I think that the sky is not all that the country can achieve. I wish all the best to all your entrepreneurs, the government officials, young students. We hope you to consider Canada as a permanent, close partner in the future”, – S. Style said in an interview with Strategy2050.kz.
At the same time, the diplomat spoke about Canada’s participation in the international exhibition EXPO 2017.
“We will be well-represented by the Canadian mining company «Cameco Corporation», the pavilion of nuclear power. We hope there will be many visitors from Canada. I would like to note that the Canadian Cirque du Soleil is coming to perform in EXPO”, – the ambassador added.
Recall, on September 21-22, 2016 Commissioner of the International specialized exhibition “EXPO-2017” Rapil Zhoshybayev visited Canada. The meetings were held with officials and representatives of business circles. During the talks with Acting Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Canada in Ottawa Lee Sarti, the interlocutors discussed the current state and prospects of bilateral relations, the issues of visa facilitation and participation of Canadian companies in EXPO-2017.
R. Zhoshybayev noted the special significance of the meeting of President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev and Prime Minister of Canada James Trudeau on the margins of the G20 summit in China, during which the Head of State invited him to visit Astana in 2017. According to the Commissioner of the exhibition, the participation of Canadian companies in EXPO-2017 will contribute to the strengthening of bilateral cooperation and the exit to the next level. In turn, L.Sarti expressed confidence that Kazakhstan, as a leading country in the region, will hold EXPO-2017 at the highest level.
«Cameco Corporation» and «Kazatomprom» are working on the Expo site pavilion, dedicated to the development of new technologies in the field of uranium industry technologies. By 2050, Canada plans to fully switch to renewable energy use.
