Bus drivers in Astana prohibited using mobile phones

A meeting with participation of the administrations of all bus fleets of the city took place in Astana Office of Passenger Transport.

Primary subject of the meeting is the proper performance by carriers of the requirements of contractual obligations, ensuring the planned output of the number of schedules (buses) to the line, the established intervals on a route, compliance with traffic rules by bus drivers, and improving the level of service culture for passengers.

The meeting considered all the existing problematic issues of carriers. At the end of the meeting, the Head of the Department set tasks for taking appropriate measures to improve the quality of the provided services.

Also from April 1 of the current year, the administration of bus fleets offered to organize special cells for placing mobile phones of drivers during pre-trip inspection.

In addition, the Transport Control Service in conjunction with the line-control service of carriers, was instructed to monitor using of mobile phones, smoking in buses by drivers on the line, and abidance by traffic regulations.
