Bozumbayev announces the estimated volumes of oil production at large fields


Kazakhstan’s Minister of Energy Kanat Bozumbayev announced the estimated production volumes in three large deposits of Kazakhstan in 2017.

This year Kashagan plans to produce about 5 million tonnes of oil and 3.1 billion cubic meters of gas. In the 4 months of this year, 2.2 million tonnes of oil has been extracted here, � the Minister said reporting to the Public Council of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Meanwhile, according to him, in 2017 it is planned to produce 11.8 million tonnes of oil and 18 billion cubic meters of gas in Karachaganak. In four months, 4.3 million tonnes of liquid hydrocarbons were produced, which is 12% more than last year.

Tengiz plans to produce 27.5 million tonnes of oil and 4.5 billion cubic meters of gas. In the four months of this year, 9.7 million tonnes of oil was produced in Tengiz, this is 100% compared to the same period in 2016, � he concluded.
