Bishkek ranked second among the cheapest cities in the world for foreigners, according to the Tourism Development Support Fund of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The Cost of Living Survey rating was compiled by the American research company Mercer.

In total, the rating includes 227 cities of the world, while Turkish Ankara is recognized as the cheapest city for a foreigner to live. Tajik capital city of Dushanbe is in the third place.

The ten cheapest cities also included Tashkent (221st place) and Almaty (219th place).

But the most expensive cities for foreigners to live in are Chinese Hong Kong (1st place), Swiss Zurich (2nd place) and Geneva (3rd place).
