Bill on ratification of the Agreement on scientific and technical cooperation
At an expanded meeting of the Senate Committee on Social and Cultural Development and Science, the draft law On ratification of the Agreement on international cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) regarding scientific and technical cooperation was considered.
The agreement on international cooperation was signed on June 29, 2018 as part of the visit of the Kazakh delegation to the European Organization for Nuclear Research in the city of Geneva (Swiss Confederation).
The adoption of this bill will strengthen the existing scientific ties and create the basis for ensuring the participation of scientists, engineers, students and technical specialists from Kazakhstan in the research projects of the European Organization on a long-term basis.
The implementation of the Agreement is carried out through the conclusion of protocols between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and CERN and (or) research institutes and universities from the Republic of Kazakhstan with a detailed description for each research project of cooperation between the parties to the protocol indicating goals, programs, resources, staff status, intellectual property, responsibility and other issues.
The bill has been submitted to the Chamber.
